(1) TWAS-Unesco Associateship Scheme at Centres of Excellence in the South
Elegibilidade
Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent degree. The selection of associates is highly competitive; appointments are made on the basis of merit. Special consideration is given to scientists from isolated institutions in developing countries. Women scientists are especially encouraged to apply.

(2) Lichtenberg Professorships - Volkswagen Foundation
Elegibilidade
Junior scholars (W1): it is the main target group. This group is to be given the opportunity at an early stage in their career to independently pursue research in new and interdisciplinary areas. Candidates, who - as a general rule - obtained their PhD within the last four years, should have a proven research record and preferably some experience working abroad.
Young scholars (W2): the initiative also aims at outstanding young scholars who - as a general rule - obtained their PhD at the most seven years previously. Candidates for these professorships should preferably be returning or coming to Germany from abroad.
